Eye Correction Exercises Improves Your Eyesight

November 27th, 2011

How many of you find yourselves putting strain on your eyes every day, do nothing to give yourself relief, and ignore it as if it’s not happening? Although you might know it’s wrong, most people don’t have the time or money for lengthy trips to the eye doctor. However, when you continue to put strain on your eyes without doing anything to help it, you will start to eventually damage your eyes more. Luckily, you don’t need to make trips to the eye doctor to relax your eyes more and improve your vision. All you have to do is effortless eye correction exercises and your eyes will be feeling much better in no time.

The first exercise that you can try to alleviate stress from your eyes is the dot exercise. You can use a document, writing assignment or any paper that has full text writing on it. Find a dot on that paper and stare at it. Really focus on it until the dot goes from clear to blurry. When it starts to get blurry, close your eyes and relax them. Look at the dot again, but this time without straining. In fact, allow your eyes to move all over the page and once you come to the dot again, close your eyes. Imagine the dot while your eyes are closed and then open them.

This simple exercise will encourage your eyes to relax a little more than before. While it is very simple, it is also very effective in removing the strain that focusing can cause sometimes. You don’t always have to use a dot. You can also use a word or comma. Other ways to loosen up the eyes and encourage them to relax is by focusing on an object that is a pretty good distance away. You only need to focus on the object for a few minutes before closing your eyes and repeating the steps.

If you enjoy the outdoors in the summertime, then you might find the sunning exercise very helpful. Step away from whatever you’re doing for a minute, go outside, face the sun and close your eyes. As you stand there, turn your head from side to side, inhale and then exhale slowly. Continue to do this for about 3-5 minutes. The muscles that are connected to your eyeballs will relax due to the warmth of the sun. This will allow your eyes to function as they’re supposed to and make them feel much more at ease. Eye exercises are just as important as exercising to ensure good health for your body. Even if you have perfect eyesight, these exercises can keep them in good health.
