Each eyeball contains six muscles that allow us to move our eyes and just like the muscles in our body, we need to exercise them.
Eye training exercises were created to help people improve sight, eye comfort, focus and coordination. Allowing your eyes to be in one position for a long period of time will cause them to become dry, sore and weak. If your eyes become dry, shut them as tightly as possible for 5 seconds, do this 5 times; this should help bring the moisture back to your eyes. You can also warm up your hands and cup them over your eyes or massage your temples. Massaging your temples will restore the blood flow to your eyes allowing in more oxygen.
If you focus on one thing for a long time frame, such as a computer or book, you may begin to strain your eyes and train them to primarily focus on a short distance. When you spend hours staring at something close to you, your eyes need to take a break. Use the eye training exercise of focusing on something that is at least ten feet away from you from at least ten minutes.

Eyesight is one of the most important things you possess. Without it you literally cannot function as a normal human being. If your eyesight is failing, or has failed, there are many ways to improve it. Other, more expensive methods may actually allow you to completely fix your vision. Most methods that can do this are experimental and sometimes dangerous.
The easiest and most widely used method of vision repair is to wear glasses. Glasses are a simple invention of two circular cut pieces of glasses within frames that fit on your face. The pieces of glass have varying thickness to accommodate one eye being weaker or stronger than the other. The frames are usually made of plastic or thin metal rods. The frames can also be styled or colored, depending on the brand and size. Glasses are simple to use and can be removed when not needed. The downsides to glasses are that they can be very fragile and sometimes expensive, as well as the frames that fit you may not be as attractive as others. There are two types of contact lenses, soft and hard. Soft lenses deteriorate quickly and must be changed more often than hard lenses. Hard lenses are more durable as long as you take proper care of them.

There are many instances in our lives where we’ll focus our eyes too hard on something like our computers or television screens. When this happens, doing online eye exercises can relieve the strain that this type of focusing brings. There are a number of different eye exercises that you can do to improve the health of your eyes such as Palming. If you’re a stay at home mom who spends hours working from the computer, you certainly are aware of the strain on your eyes that follows.
This is where palming can be very beneficial. How this works is that for about 20-30 seconds you’d rub your hands together, creating heat in between them. Afterwards, place the palm of your hands over each eye. Make sure that your eyes are closed and that your palms don’t touch your eyelids. If possible, do this at a table so that you can rest your elbows on the table. The exercise is more effective when you are completely relaxed. After sitting this way for a few minutes, your eyes should feel much better.

Are you tired of repairing and purchasing eyeglasses every few months? Are you tired of wearing contacts or making repetitive trips to the eye doctor to restore your eyesight? You should consider LASIK eye surgery because most of the patients who received this procedure have improved vision and they restore eyesight. This surgery is also painless and the recovery time is usually within weeks or months. Before the LASIK surgery you’ll have a consultation with the eye doctor and he’ll tell you what to expect during the procedure. He’ll also test your eyes to determine if you’re a good candidate for the procedure. Texas A&M University says that you may not be able to get this surgery if you have very dry eyes, are over age 55, are pregnant, under age 18, if you have glaucoma or cataracts and if you’re diabetic. They also say you should have realistic expectations about the LASIK surgery before you meet with the eye doctor. For example, some patients actually lose their eyesight due to complications of the procedure while others may still need corrective eyewear after the surgery.

If you’re longing to improve your vision, eye comfort and processing ability for information, then you’ll be happy to know that there are eye training exercises such as visual therapy can help. You can use these exercises in combination with sessions that are controlled by an eye care professional to obtain the best results. Even if you don’t go to the eye doctor regularly, you can perform these exercises anywhere you desire. Not only can they improve ocular muscle response, but they also help you overcome learning disabilities that are associated with your vision.
You don’t need any special training and you don’t need any special equipment. All you need is time. The first exercise to train your eyes and keep them in good health includes the alpha ball. This exercise can actually be fun and can include other parties trying to improve or keep their eyesight healthy. What you’ll need is a beach or kick ball and a thick marker. Hang the ball from a string that is connected to the ceiling. Write letters on the ball with the magic marker of different sizes. When you’re finished, spin or swing the ball and call out the letters as you see them.
When it comes to associative skills, this exercise will help you improve them. Then there’s the thumb focusing exercise which is also easy to do. Hold out your thumb but at the level of your arms. Move it in slow circular motions and follow it with your eyes as you do. You should do this without moving your head and several times a day. This will increase the strength of your vision and help you keep your eyes active, healthy and functioning as they should be. You can also try heat eye training exercises. To do this, rub your hands together for at least a minute. During this time, they will generate heat between them.

Eye crunch is the natural effect that occurs in your eyes when you are looking at something. Just like the parts of your mouth work differently when you are using them, the eye works in different ways depending on how it is being used.
Since we are using our eyes to see constantly when we are awake, we tend to overlook the fact that we do use them in several different ways. Eye crunch is the way the internal parts of our eye react and send different signals to the brain depending on how the eye is used and the different parts of the eye that are being strained and utilized.
The biggest difference in how we use our eyes is when we are viewing something that is up close as opposed to something which is in the distance. The eye crunch in each of these circumstances is different as different parts of our eyes have different parts to play and thus different strains when looking far away or looking up close. Another example of a time when eye crunch plays a big part in how our eyes react to what we are doing is when we are reading.

How many of you find yourselves putting strain on your eyes every day, do nothing to give yourself relief, and ignore it as if it’s not happening? Although you might know it’s wrong, most people don’t have the time or money for lengthy trips to the eye doctor. However, when you continue to put strain on your eyes without doing anything to help it, you will start to eventually damage your eyes more. Luckily, you don’t need to make trips to the eye doctor to relax your eyes more and improve your vision. All you have to do is effortless eye correction exercises and your eyes will be feeling much better in no time.
The first exercise that you can try to alleviate stress from your eyes is the dot exercise. You can use a document, writing assignment or any paper that has full text writing on it. Find a dot on that paper and stare at it. Really focus on it until the dot goes from clear to blurry. When it starts to get blurry, close your eyes and relax them. Look at the dot again, but this time without straining. In fact, allow your eyes to move all over the page and once you come to the dot again, close your eyes. Imagine the dot while your eyes are closed and then open them.

If you have been struggling with poor eyesight for many years for whatever reason, then you’ll be glad to know that there is a Bates eye exercise out there that is just right for you. “What is a Bates eye exercise,” you might ask? Well, years ago in the early 1900s, a doctor by the name of William Bates came up with a group of eye exercises that would eventually be the cure for poor eyesight. Many people with poor vision would prefer not obtain glasses or surgery as a solution. So, instead they use a Bates eye exercise to correct their poor vision.
Believe it or not, when done correctly, these exercises really work. One popular Bates eye exercise includes sunning. Sunning is really supposed to be done with natural sunlight, but you can also use a lamp that has a 60-100 watt bulb. Take this lamp and sit it on a table in front of you. With your eyes closed, position the light to point at your face. If it’s too bright, you can always push it back a bit until the light is tolerable. Imagine yourself gazing off into the horizon as you turn your head from side to side.
Each turn should take about three seconds apiece, but make sure you continue to gaze until you have stopped doing the exercise. This should only be done for about 3-4 minutes. Doing it any longer could possibly damage your eyes. There’s also another Bates exercise that you might be interested in such as the long swing. This exercise works to relax your eyes and it does this by making you aware of all of the things around you. The best way to do this exercise is to obtain a long stick that will act as your pointer during this exercise.

Amblyopia or what is more commonly known as Lazy Eye wherein a developmental problem in the brain is present, unlike what others think, physical deformity in the eyeball does not exist. It happens when the affected eye cannot rapidly visualize and transmit to the brain. It then lacks stimulation thus, not developing its full visual potential.
Eye therapists have recommended lazy eye exercises as a primary manner of treating Amblyopia. During lazy eye exercises treatment, a patch is worn over the non-affected eye, thus letting the affected eye to develop more in terms of visualization. Lazy eye exercises may take a very short time to cure the Amblyopia while others take them much longer for their eyes to be cured.
Lazy eye Exercises can aid in providing quick and easy exercises that can cure Amblyopia. Here are some of the Lazy eye exercises we are talking about:
